Location: Filton (60% onsite)
Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: £29.89/hr (PAYE) or £40.00/hr (Umbrella)
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

About the Role
Join a dynamic and innovative team as a Project Manager within the Airbus A300/310 Programme. This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse and ageing fleet, including Beluga transporters, freighter conversions, passenger, MRTT, and Zero-G aircraft. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting a range of operators and driving the future of in-service support.
As Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of the UK Site Chief Engineering Office, collaborating with cross-functional teams and international partners. You'll be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects on time and within budget, ensuring seamless integration across engineering, procurement, customer services, and more.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver UK work packages to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
- Manage projects from initiation to closure, using classical project management tools and techniques.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Central Programme, Engineering, Serial Design Office, Airworthiness, Procurement, and Customer Services.
- Oversee planning for the Serial Design Office and manage relationships with risk-sharing partners and subcontractors.
- Control budgets and forecasts, ensuring delivery of annual operational plan objectives.
- Present updates and progress reports to stakeholders and at programme review meetings.
- Facilitate meetings and ensure effective communication across the programme.
- Proactively resolve issues and escalate where necessary to keep projects on track.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in project or programme management, ideally within engineering.
- Experience with large engineering projects and working alongside engineers.
- Strong communication, people management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and drive projects forward.
- Experience with SAP, Zoho, or similar project management tools.
- Good understanding of budget control and delivering to time, cost, and quality.
- Experience managing suppliers, partners, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of configuration management is an advantage.
- Project management qualifications are desirable.
- Comfortable working in a transnational environment and leading multi-functional teams.
- Experience facilitating and coordinating meetings.
