We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the Safer Homes Delivery team and support our major building safety projects and fire safety work.

You will provide an excellent and professional service by owning the responsibilities of allocated major building safety projects including the ongoing financial management, strategic delivery and day to day progress /monitoring reporting.

Develop and manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered to required standards and expectations.

Experience:

  • Fire safety knowledge
  • Managing building safety projects or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of Approved Document B
  • Knowledge and understanding of BS9991
  • Housing / construction experience desirable

Duties of a Project Manager:

  • Manage major building safety projects as allocated through all phases including procurement, specification, construction and post-construction.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders, Residents/Internal & External Agencies/ Internal Audit to increase customer satisfaction and ensure exceptional levels of resident engagement for allocated projects.
  • Work within agreed budgets and cost controls, ensuring adherence with financial procedures at all times. Producing reports and other information as required in line with statutory, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Provide financial and technical reports, appraisals, measurement, costings and estimates as required.
  • Maintain and develop high levels of professional knowledge relevant to building safety.
  • Identify opportunities to increase performance, resident engagement and efficiencies specifically through innovative technology and ways of working.
  • Assist in the preparation of specifications, drawings, estimates and tender documents as required.
  • Amend existing documents to reflect any changes or enhancements to the existing repairs service as directed. Issue warning/default notices enforce liquidated damages and issue variation orders etc as required.
  • Identify and report any trends identified which relate to quality and quantity of work undertaken by operatives and contractors.

Some travel is needed between Hyde's offices in and around London and to the south coast.
