Our client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and are looking for an experienced Project Planner Controller to join their business performance management and technical teams in Bristol. As the selected candidate, your role would be to develop and implement ongoing objectives to enhance the company's planning and scheduling standards. Your extensive experience as a Project Planner Controller will be critical in promoting and supporting these standards. This is an excellent opportunity as it may offer the potential for a contract extension or even a permanent position.
What we're looking for:
- Maintain a high level of competence and experience with Primavera and SAP PS and with industry-standard computing applications (specifical spreadsheets).
- Harbour durable communication skills, capable of working in large teams with complex skills (Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Project Management, etc.)
- Possess the appeal of working in a multicultural pan-European environment.
- Contain a proven level of Commercial and Financial management experience.
- Proactive team player who inspires others is assertive and possesses strong negotiation and arbitration skills.
What you'll get to do as a Project/Planner Controller:
- Analyse progress and performance, comparing it to contractual and internal targets to identify variances and their causes.
- Prepare reports and recommend actions to maintain or improve progress.
- Establish and deploy the overall project schedule for the sector/projects, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Coach engineering, production, and project management team members in best practice planning and scheduling to develop planning skills across the project team.
- Integrate work package plans to create a fully integrated network aligned with company standards, deploying, managing, and maintaining the project's performance measurement baseline.
- Generate, distribute, and report project schedule data as required, providing guidance on conflicts and corrective actions.
- Manage the application of the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as needed.
- Oversee the project critical path analysis process according to company standards.
- Cultivate positive relationships with engineers and the broader community to ensure adherence to the company's project control standards, systems, and methods, delivering accurate and high-quality performance status data promptly.
