The Role.
We are looking for a senior, confident and experienced childcare professional to join our nursery at RAF Waddington
It goes without saying that you love being around children and will have the ambition to make a direct and positive impact on their young lives.
We are a unique nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years situated on a military base. We have a wonderful and very large outdoor space where we grow our own vegetables, keep chickens and enjoy exploring nature. There is also a great view of the runway. We are continually investing in our staff to be knowledgeable, experienced and skilled in the early years sector. We manage the delivery for the Early Years Foundation Stage for the Department for Education.
You will be:

You will
-Lead staff on learning programmes for individuals or groups of children, making programmes appropriate to their needs and developmental stages.
-Work with your nursery management colleagues on specific areas of development and taking accountability for their success.
-Manage resources effectively and deploy staff appropriately throughout the nursery to respond to the needs of the children.
-Prepare and supervise dedicated areas / rooms within the setting, creating a stimulating and rewarding environment that meets the children's individual needs, keeping accurate records and regularly communicating with parents / carers.
-Manage groups of children, ensuring planned activities are fun and engaging, and maintaining health and safety.
-Meet each of the children's individual needs, Have a positive attitude, making every day count for the children in our care.
What will you need
-A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
-Experience of working and leading in an Early Years childcare setting or with children aged 0-5 years.
-An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues for children aged 0-5 years.
-Full understanding of children's emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs from 0 to 5 years.
