Job purpose
You'll support Corporate Affairs activities across Sandoz UK, delivering a variety of communications projects to connect and inspire our colleagues internally (70%), as well as working with the Corporate Affairs Executive on external communications (30%). The role reports to the Head of Market Access and Corporate Affairs.
Job accountabilities
Active member of the Market Access and Corporate Affairs team
- Lead on projects with increasing responsibility as your capability develops;
- Work with Head of Market Access and Corporate Affairs and Corporate Affairs Executive to map and track project milestones;
- Being flexible to take on work across the team depending on workload and priorities e.g. maintain a map of key individuals within NHS organisations
Communications
- Lead on drafting a variety of internal communications, including our weekly Sandoz UK newsletter;
- Work with the Corporate Affairs Executive to expand our use of social media, and deliver major internal events;
- Manage and update the corporate website and intranet;
- Work with teams across the UK business to organise educational 'lunch & learn' meetings and support internal initiatives;
- Work with the UK Novartis group communications on cross-divisional initiatives;
Administration
- Day-to-day coordination of projects and liaison with business units to deliver communications activities;
- Set up vendors, purchase orders and have materials approved. Follow internal processes for administrative activities;
- Ensure all activities and materials are compliant using two internal systems.
We are looking for a talented individual with a positive, can-do attitude, who wants to start their career in communications in an in-house role.
Personal qualities:
- Interest and/or experience in internal communications or corporate communications;
- Interest and/or experience in writing and editing content for newsletters, email announcements or websites;
- Keen to learn, open to feedback and ambitious for personal growth;
Essential skills:
- Great writing;
- Attention to detail and good at proofing copy;
- Enjoys being creative;
- Can demonstrate project management;
- A degree in communication/media, life sciences, business/management are preferred
Desired but not essential: Design skills in e.g., Illustrator and/or InDesign and/or PowerPoint
In this role, you will be immersed in a fast-pace corporate environment and develop skills working on a variety of communications projects. Our graduate interns often go on to roles in Sandoz and other major employers.
