Overview:

We are recruiting for a SECURITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR to be based on site near Billingham, County Durham within a large International Chemical Manufacturer.

This role offers full time hours and is an initial 3-month contract with possibility of extension.

Job Purpose:

To oversee the creation and implementation of an effective site security assurance programme across the Teesside sites, interpreting existing company security standards to ensure the programme demonstrates the necessary level of compliance.

To support the upgrade and integration of site security systems, implementing appropriate controls over the ongoing administration of the system.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • To interpret and implement Group security standards to create a site assurance programme for the Teesside sites
  • To create a schedule of audits and activities to measure the effectiveness of the controls and highlight any risks or improvement opportunities
  • Identify sustainable resource plan to effectively deliver against the assurance programme, assigning responsibilities and tasks to the appropriate resource
  • To create a document management system to provide a record of feedback, audits and control checks
  • Oversee the upgrade of site security systems and transfer of data, working with key stakeholders to establish system design and appropriate designation of areas, to demonstrate compliance with programme
  • Manage multiple teams of contractors and third party organisations delivering security services, ensuring services are executed to company EHS and Security standards
  • Identifying and appointing appropriate contractors and services, supporting the introduction of service level agreements
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with agencies and contracted services organisations

Qualifications & Candidate Specification:

  • Proven experience of managing and maintaining records to demonstrate control and compliance
  • Resource planning experience
  • Security Assurance Coordinator experience (or similar within a compliance/quality function)
  • Practical experience of contractor management and working with third party providers
  • Experience of safe systems of work
  • Proven ability of collecting and analysing information from different sources to inform recommendations
