Salary - up to £24,200 depending on experience
Hours - Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing an effective, efficient administrative service to support and meet the needs of the operational teams, applying Action for Children's policies, procedures and systems to enable the achievement of service objectives.
The role will be based in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear.
The role
Are you highly organised and committed to supporting a management team to improve the life chances of children and young people? This could be the role for you, as a Senior Administration Business Partner. This is a fast-paced managerial role with a high level of financial reporting involved.
The difference
You'll significantly improve children and young people's lives:
- By supporting the timely and accurate processing, collating, monitoring and interpreting of financial, statistical, budgetary information.
- By reviewing income and expenditure data, to ensure transactions are properly accounted within Action for Children and relevant external agencies and reported on as part of our monitoring procedures.
- By managing the delivery of a range of administrative services i.e. meetings management, maintenance of information and database systems.
- By maximising the use of digital technology systems (including Microsoft office packages) and other services to enable operational management and staff to achieve their service/and personal objectives.
- By working with senior management to monitor contract performance to report on outcomes achieved against performance criteria, preparing reports to highlight achievements and variances.
The person
You'll need:
- Business Administration or Management S/NVQ Level 3, equivalent qualification or experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Line Management experience desirable but not essential
- Experience working in a social care environment would be advantages
- An understanding of organisational values and behaviours
- Ability to use to a high standard of Microsoft packages - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to assist management with the administration of HR policies and procedures i.e. supporting with administration of disciplinary processes, supporting with recruitment of staff etc.
- Experience of setting and achieving deadlines and highlighting to senior management issues of risk
- Proven track record in the use of relevant specialist IT packages to produce reports and presentations, including but not limited to for example: financial reports; presentations; tender documents; annual reviews; Local Authority statistics and other service user information
