Job Title: Buyer / Senior Buyer
Job Type: Exempt, Full Time
Purpose of the Role:
This role will be an extension, and key member of the Indirect Procurement team at our client, and will be responsible for execution of procurement strategies with suppliers including on-going negotiations for individual purchases, proposed price increases and day to day support of efficient operations. The Buyer is the primary contact with suppliers and drives performance improvement efforts, new supplier setup, issue resolution, risk mitigation and on-going interactions with the supply network. As a constant source of dynamic market data and trends for the Sourcing Managers, the Buyer provides valuable input and supports the development of global and local strategies. The Buyer is a key link between the client and the suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of indirect services to support the needs of our functional business partners.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications:
- Required - bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience

- Supplier Performance Management, focused on driving optimal supplier performance in all key performance areas of quality, delivery, cost, satisfaction
- Working knowledge of and ability to utilize systems acumen in ERP and overall P2P process
- Stay current with market trends and changing demands within services procurement environment
- Utilize performance data (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the outcomes
