One of our global leading client's, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking an experienced Component Engineer to join their UK Component Engineering team. We are seeking a professional and committed Senior Component Engineer part of a multi-disciplined team completing administration activities, technical advisement, making requests to suppliers and responding to internal queries. You will ensure we deliver a comprehensive component service offering technical advice and ensuring accuracy of data.

What we're looking for:

  • Knowledge and experience in electromechanical components and materials
  • Engineering Degree or relevant experience
  • Understanding and appreciation of the REACH and RoHS regulations.
  • Experience with tests and inspections on components.
  • Knowledge of detailed records and documentation related to component specifications and testing results.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • High concern for order and quality
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate communications with key stakeholders

What you'll get to do as a Senior Component Engineer:

  • Processing and responding to support queries
  • Processing component data (based on Life cycle status, Export Control and REACH/RoHS compliance)
  • Working within departmental processes completing administration tasks
  • Support for Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Material commodities
  • Support continuous improvement activities

Our client's relationship with the UK military spans back over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.
