Senior Engineer - Component Engineering

The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Component Engineering to ensure the company deliver a comprehensive component service, mitigating risk for components selected and embedded within MBDA designs.

What you'll get to do as a Senior Engineer - Component Engineering:

• Vetting and cataloguing components.
• Providing risk assessments and mitigation solutions of components in designs.
• Leading pro-active obsolescence component trawls (based on Life cycle status, Export Control and REACH/RoHS compliance).
• Processing re-active component obsolescence notifications.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities by suggesting ways to make the process more efficient.

What we're looking for:

• Knowledge and experience of electronic components
• Engineering Degree (or equivalent) or relevant experience
• High concern for order and quality
• High Communication Skills - Verbal, written, electronic, across all levels
• Pro-active and enthusiastic
• Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks, and priorities concurrently
• Strong communication skills to facilitate regular face-to-face communications with key stakeholders.
• Experience in vetting and cataloguing components.
• SC cleared
• You must be a UK national or citizen to be eligible for the role.

This role is based at MBDA's headquarters in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
