The role
Staffordshire Emotional Health and Wellbeing service commenced work on 1st April 2020 and comprises 3 main elements Digital support Direct Support and Preventative work and has the support of a small team of Psychologists. The service works with children and young people aged 5-18 years or up to 25 if they have an EHCP or are looked after by the local authority. The service covers the whole of Staffordshire.
We are looking for a temporary part time service coordinator for one year to provide additional capacity to the management team to enable us put resources into firmly establishing the preventive offer of the service. You would be responsible for leading on the planning, delivery and communication of the place based preventative work for the service and steering the promotion of the preventative offer amongst local communities and schools.
We require the appointed Service Co-ordinator to have flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. We are open to discussing the flexibility of the days the role requires. This role is based from our Rugeley office and we anticipate a degree of flexibility around the amount of days you will be required to be based in the office. This can be discussed at interview stage.
You will make a difference by:
- Agreeing the detailed content of the of wellbeing and resilience building programme delivered to schools and community group with the Senior leadership team of the service.
- Establishing with Evaluation officer/admin efficient systems for recording and delivery to commissioner targets.
- Promoting and organising delivery of the offer.
- Leading and oversee the social media plan for the service agreeing the messages to be promoted with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Steering the service participation strategy ensuring the voices of young people are heard within the design and delivery of the service.
- Creating a range of resource material to support the preventative work in conjunction with staff within the service.

You will need:
- Level 3 or equivalent in youth work, working with families, childcare or another relevant field.
- Experiences of working with children young people and their families.
- Understanding of the issues which impact on children and young people's emotional well being.
- Experience of participation and engagement with young people families and communities.
- Ability to design develop and deliver a community engagement plan.
- Working in collaboration to achieve change.
- Experience of supervising staff.
