Sessional Ben Club Playworker

Location: RAF Leeming, Northallerton, North Yorkshire

Salary: £19,872 per annum (pro-rata)

Hours: 2 hours per week, one session between 3:45pm-5:45pm

Structure: Permanent Part Time, mainly during school terms

What does the service provide?

AFC delivers the Benevolent Fund, Airplay Youth Support and Ben Club play sessions in partnership with the Royal Air Force, across the whole of the UK.

Ben Club at RAF Leeming delivers play sessions to children aged 5 to 8 years.

So what will you do?

As a Sessional Ben Club Playworker, you'll liaise with other care agencies and care professionals to directly support children, young people and their families, agreeing and providing specialised intervention services in line with our business plan.

You'll significantly improve young people's lives:

  • By providing great play activities for children from RAF Leeming
  • By using your imagination and creativity to engage with children

What will we require from you?

  • The ability to relate to and inspire children aged 5 to 8
  • Willingness to take part, get involved and have fun
  • Dedication to the session schedules
  • Some experience of working with this age group
  • Firm commitment to the development & safeguarding of children
  • Ability to travel to and from the service location
