Lancashire County Council is recruiting an experienced Adults Social Worker to join their Mental Health Review Team based in Preston. This is a rewarding locum opportunity for a skilled practitioner passionate about supporting adults with mental health needs through high-quality statutory social work.
This role offers fast-start interviews and the chance to work within a well-established countywide service delivering person-centred, strengths-based practice.
The Role
Managing a caseload of adults with mental health needs
Completing Mental Health Act reviews and Care Act assessments
Undertaking statutory reviews, safeguarding enquiries and support planning
Working collaboratively with health professionals, AMHPs and partner agencies
Producing clear, timely and high-quality assessments and reports
Supporting service users to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes
What You'll Need
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience within Adults Mental Health services
Ability to travel countywide across Lancashire
Strong knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Health legislation
