π· Pay: Up to Β£23.66/hour (Umbrella)
πΌ About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives? Join Derbyshire County Council as a Children's Social Worker and help protect and support vulnerable children and families in your community. This frontline role will see you working within a dedicated team focused on child welfare and safeguarding. π
π§Έ Key Duties & Responsibilities
Work within a team managing caseloads covering:
πΉ Child in Need cases
πΉ Child Protection cases
πΉ Care Proceedings and court-related workUndertake comprehensive assessments and develop plans to safeguard children
Build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies π€
Work closely with managers who oversee caseloads to ensure quality and consistency
Attend case conferences, court hearings, and multi-agency meetings as required ποΈ
π οΈ What We're Looking For
βοΈ Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
βοΈ Experience working with vulnerable children and families
βοΈ Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks (Children Act, Working Together to Safeguard Children)
βοΈ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
βοΈ Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
