๐ About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH) team. This is a front door role, where you'll be the first point of contact for concerns raised about children and families.
Your main focus will be to screen and assess incoming contacts to ensure timely, safe, and appropriate support is provided.
๐ง Key Responsibilities
๐ Review and assess contacts made to EHASH regarding children's safety and wellbeing
โ๏ธ Make informed decisions based on risk, need, and threshold guidance
๐ Ensure all decisions are clearly recorded and made in a timely manner
๐ค Work closely with early help, education, police, and health partners
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Signpost or escalate contacts to appropriate services as needed
๐ก๏ธ Maintain a child-centred and safeguarding-focused approach in every decision
โ Requirements
๐ Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent)
๐งพ Registered with Social Work England
๐๏ธ Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in children's safeguarding
๐ง Strong understanding of thresholds, early help, and statutory intervention
๐ฌ Clear communicator with excellent decision-making and recording skills
๐ป Confident using IT systems and managing high-volume work efficiently
