What you'll get to do as a Software Engineer C/C++/Linux/Real Time:

Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) works with real missile equipment and advanced test facilities. The team is responsible for designing, developing, and using closed-loop HWIL simulations to investigate and validate the behaviour and performance of their clients' products under different conditions. This ensures high confidence in the operation of the products. HWIL testing is crucial to the missile design and development process as it focuses on understanding the product characteristics and behaviours. This is often done with prototype equipment and cutting-edge technologies, not just testing on a production line

  • This role is centred on the development, execution and maintenance of software components used in the HWIL facility. These software components range from those designed to manage mathematical models and real-time input/output interfaces to those used for data analysis and visualisation.
  • This role offers the chance to work directly with advanced test equipment and missile hardware. Unlike most commercial off-the-shelf real-time Hardware in the Loop software products, MBDA develops its own Linux PC-based toolsets to meet our specific needs that surpass any current COTS products.
