The UK's esteemed Ministry of Defence partner, a leader in Missile and Defence technology, is seeking an experienced Software Developer with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe's top missile system provider. The role involves working within the international Customer Support and Services organisation.

What we're looking for:

  • Expertise in C# programming, MS Access, SQL, and building applications in Visual Basic.
  • Knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
  • Communicate effectively with IT experts and Customer Support staff in using their specific IT tools & applications.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to analyse and communicate processes and practices clearly and concisely to colleagues of varying positions and technical experience
  • Experience in training staff in the use of IT software and tools
  • Manage and set your priorities to meet objectives.
  • Capable of managing work packages and rapid development activities.
  • Possess good communication skills and be aware of cultural differences.
  • Helpful attitude and a calm, professional manner; able to set priorities and deal with multiple issues.

What you'll get to do as a Software, Systems and Tools Developer:

The candidate will be responsible for the development and improvement of software applications used to manage customer support activities. This includes collaborating with the Customer Support management team to enhance data analysis techniques, contributing to the advancement of application and infrastructure standards at MBDA, and participating in developing innovative industry concepts. Additionally, the candidate will assist in improving IT skills within the broader Customer Support team and explore potential new applications to support their work. They will be able to devise inventive solutions for technically challenging problems, utilise agile development methods to build new software applications, and engage with and learn from other IT specialists with diverse skills and knowledge.

This role is based at their headquarters site in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
