Pay Rate: up to £41.21 per hour PAYE and up to £55.00 per hour through an Umbrella Company

Overview of the Software V&V Engineer role and the department you will be assigned to:

By joining the growing Software team in Stevenage, you will be working as part of a dynamic team to develop and deliver innovative solutions by exploiting a wide portfolio of software technologies. You will work as part of a small team and be empowered to work individually with little supervision.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Capable of integrating and testing embedded and test code for software based Defence applications.
Produce test requirements & test scripts for Unit, Subsystem and System level testing on both host and target platforms.
Run tests, analysing results and using target test facilities such debuggers, probes, logic analysers and oscilloscopes.
The specification of the design of the embedded code uses UML and familiarity with an OO approach is essential.

The successful Software V&V Engineer will have the following skills and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the role:

Significant previous experience with developing and testing embedded software.
Extensive experience of test tools and techniques in both host and target environments.
Experience in model-based development, either in SysML/UML using tools such as IBM's Rhapsody or in Matlab/Simulink.
Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems such as PikeOS.
Experience of developing and testing software products under Windows and Linux development environments for ARM based multi-core processing platforms.

The role is based in Stevenage which offers excellent transport links, is in close proximity to London Stansstead Airport and is commutable from Hitchen, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hertford, Bishop's Stortford, Hoddesdon and Harlow.

Due to the nature of the work our client is involved with, suitable candidates will already be SC cleared or eligible to gain this level of clearance.
