These contract roles will require you to have a valid and active DV security clearance prior to assignment.

We're currently seeking a number of accomplished and highly ambitious Technical Authors to work with our exceptional client, a world class brand in a secure environment to drive major business improvement, transformation, process change (both cultural and technical) and technical development across this complex organisation which will run well into 2025.

These contract roles will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in Gloucestershire.

These Technical Author roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. You will be encouraged and assisted to enhance your skills on unique projects.

You will be able to demonstrate your enthusiasm and experience of delivering accuracy and quality for stakeholders across the board. You'll apply a wide range of techniques to review, maintain and update information. Therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Highly analytical, a strong team player, with a can do attitude, meticulous and with first-class communication skills, you'll possess the ability to support high impact, lasting change across the organisation.

Your experience:

As an exceptional Technical Author you will:

  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of the tools used for text and illustration creation
  • Have sufficient understanding of media formats to identify appropriate tools to suit our client's chosen target environment
  • Have an excellent ability to elicit key information from a diverse set of technical and managerial staff; very flexible and willing to be deployed on to many and varied tasks across the delivery spectrum;
  • Have an in-depth understanding of interfacing with and transference of documents between MS Word, XML and Acrobat ideally;
  • Ideally be able to integrate and animate the graphics using style sheet construction.
