This role is to take the lead in developing and maintaining a bespoke application hosted in the Authority's main building. The successful candidate will manage the health and performance of the application which is built via Docker Containers hosting MySQL and Elastic Search. There are also a number of other components for specialist services which are also containerised.
Primary responsibility of this role is to:
Manage the health of the system through regular updates as available
Update data holdings when they become available from London based stakeholders (expected quarterly)
Update the system when new versions become available (expected six-monthly)
Install a development system on either stand-alone hardware or on the Authority infrastructure
Liaise with previous supplier during completion of their outstanding work
Identification and elaboration of new ways of working/developments that would provide benefit to the users
The post-holder will be required to have, or to obtain, technical skills in the following:
Docker
MySQL
Elastic Search
Python scripting
The post holder is also required to hold an active DV clearance
