Overview

Guidant Global is delighted to be partnering with Airbus, a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, in their search for a Technical Services Configuration Engineer.

Accountable to the CAMO Services Manager, the position requires close liaison with the customer's MilCAM and MRP Part 145 Line Maintenance organisation on site, and with the Airbus and other external EASA Part 145 base maintenance organisations, to ensure contractual targets and service levels are achieved.

The Airbus A400M CAMO Services team provides sub-contracted aircraft technical management services in support of the A400M fleet operated by our customer, the RAF.

The sub-contracted services relate to the continuing airworthiness management of the A400M, and they are carried out to the MRP Part M, Subpart G standard of compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying configuration issues and ensuring remedial action is taken as required.
  • Ensuring configuration control of aircraft undergoing base maintenance activity away from main operating base.
  • Liaising and coordination with the Long-Term Planning Engineers to ensure all aircraft Service Bulletins / Modifications are controlled, planned, and managed correctly.
  • Liaising and coordination with Fleet Tasking and Availability Management team (FTAM) to ensure aircraft configuration is included within the Flying Programme.
  • Liaising with CAMO Technical Service Engineers and Aircraft Manager Engineers.
  • Attendance and participation to the Local Technical Committee Meeting.
  • Calculation and issue of new / updated aircraft Weight & Balance sheets.
  • Liaising with Material Supply to ensure effective planning of all SBs and modification requirements.
  • Validation of data in Maintenance Data System (MDS).
  • Managing projects and assignments as directed by the Tech Services Manager.
  • Conduct investigations as request by the CAMO Reliability Engineer.
  • Support and contribute to any continuous improvement programme.
  • Entering and maintaining data in the MDS Database relating to the A400M.
  • The Technical Services Configuration Engineer may also be required to develop procedures and documentation, to ensure efficient and effective working practices, whilst maintaining compliance with MRP Part M, Subpart G regulation, through a process of continuous improvement.

Skill Set

Essential

  • Clear communication and written skills and the ability to work within a small, multi-tasking, multinational team are essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins process.
  • A detailed and working knowledge of EASA Part M Subpart G regulations.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Customer focused and proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility and diplomacy.
  • Willingness to travel on an occasional basis.

Desirable

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience in a technical continuing airworthiness management role.
  • Experience of the aircraft operational environment.
  • Previous MDS experience.
