Test Architect

The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for a skilled Test Architect to define and manage the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications whilst supporting their deployment into the factory; this position is based at the Stevenage site.

What we're looking for:

Ideally educated to degree level with substantial experience of Test, Electrical and Electronic engineering, ideally including at least one of the following:

• Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
• Analogue electronics; Power Electronics.
• Test Equipment Design.
• DOORS (Essential)

Good understanding of:

• Project Management and planning and cost and budget control.
• Diverse and conflicting Stakeholder Management.
• Ability to technically manage internal and sub-contract activities.
• Ability to influence managers and other stakeholders across the company.
• Determination and desire to succeed.
• Strong interpersonal and well-developed communication skills (written & verbal).

What you'll get to do as a Test Architect:

• Responsible for managing the Test Equipment requirements and responsible for the Test Equipment design trades between Cost, Scope, and Time.
• Actively led the development of the Test Equipment (hardware and software) to meet all project requirements.
• Support the more comprehensive project to manage Test System obsolescence to optimise upgrade programs.
• Interface with and manage customer expectations throughout the development process
• Technically manage internal & external suppliers for delivery of Test Equipment packages to time, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
• Responsible for the capture, development, and management of Test Equipment requirements from all Customers (Internal, Domestic and Export) across the Product Life Cycle
