We are recruiting for a Trades Supervisor where a development opportunity is available for the right candidate.

You will oversee and manage the responsive repairs/planned/void/disrepair service ensuring a customer focused approach and a right first-time (RFT) repairs service in line with agreed budgets and performance measures.

Duties of a Trades Supervisor (voids and repairs):

  • Manage the team to ensure that key performance indicators, such as customer satisfaction, RFT and repairs priorities are achieved and that works orders are closed down within agreed timescales.
  • Manage trades operatives to ensure right first time completion of jobs and that all health and safety is complied with to safeguard our staff and the general public.
  • Ensure that works allocation is monitored to ensure full use of time is achieved.
  • Monitor budgets ensuring repair jobs are correctly raised and allocated to the correct budget codes to ensure correct capitalisation of works.
  • Build effective stakeholder relations and attend meetings with service providers and residents internal stakeholders as and when required.
  • Effectively investigate review and respond to complaints (stage 0 and 1) in line with the relevant policy.
  • Manage the operatives to ensure correct allocations of duties are achieved to promote a RFT culture and value for money.
  • Undertake contract management including relevant risk assessments, health and safety and budget monitoring Manage the void process ensuring a fast turnaround of stock.
  • If in Property Maintenance, participate in the duty managers out of hours' service delivery on a rota basis ensuring issues are responded to promptly and an efficient service is delivered to customers.
  • Manage and develop the team, setting clear objectives and facilitate appropriate development opportunities in order to motivate and enhance the skills of the team to achieve a consistent, seamless service to the business.
  • Manage and handle any performance related issues in a professional, proactive and effective manner, supporting other managers with escalated incidents.

Your office base will be Havant and your work will be based in Chichester and Brighton.
