At Airbus, we don't just build aircraft - we shape the future of aviation. Based in the heart of Broughton, our Wing Plant is responsible for producing wings for around half of all aircraft delivered globally each year. Now, we're looking for a Wing Build Support Engineer to join our dynamic team and help keep the world flying.

Why Join Us?

  • Work at a cutting-edge facility in the beautiful countryside of Cheshire and North Wales.
  • Be part of a global leader in aerospace innovation.

  • Enjoy proximity to vibrant cities like Manchester, Liverpool, and historic Chester.

About the Role

As a Wing Build Support Engineer, you'll be a key player in our Single Aisle Component Delivery Team (CDT), providing hands-on engineering support to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality wing production.

You'll act as the vital link between Engineering and Manufacturing, solving problems, improving processes, and driving innovation on the shop floor.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be the go-to engineering expert on the production line, resolving design queries and supporting root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop co-design solutions that work for both design and production.
  • Drive product improvements that reduce costs and non-conformances across the value stream.
  • Support team coordination and act as deputy to the Delivery Team Leader when needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Airbus' goals in efficiency and sustainability.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering value to customers.
  • Experience with metallic structures (composite knowledge is a plus).
  • Familiarity with engineering design tools and IT systems.
  • Ability to analyse and solve technical problems independently.
  • A team player who builds strong relationships and lives the Airbus values.
  • Previous experience in wing structures or aerospace manufacturing is desirable.

The Details

  • Location: 100% onsite at our Broughton Plant (flexible day shift pattern).
  • Remote Work: Occasional WFH available, but this is primarily an onsite role.
