The role:
The role is based in the Kilmarnock Hub which houses two main services for young people.
Turning the Corner is a project funded by East Ayrshire Council to provide a holistic support to vulnerable young males and females aged 8-20 with complex needs who live within the local authority.
Moving On Scotland is a Scottish Government funded service working to reduce reoffending and offer rehabilitation and community support to young males age 16-21 on liberation from HMYOI Polmont.
As an Administrative Officer you will be supporting the team with administrative duties, finance processing and front of house services , this is a vital part of the work we do.
( This role will involve occasional travel to our offices in both Paisley and Glasgow to attend staff meetings when required)
You will make a difference by:
.By providing a range of administrative and front of house services, reception, greeting visitors, typing, filing, supporting staff who are working directly with children and young people.
.By providing accurate data input and processing a variety of reports and forms to a high standard.
.By processing financial invoices and payments,recording and reconciling petty cash and pro-actively checking these for accuracy and managing queries.
.By organising meetings and training events, minute taking as necessary.
You will need:
. SVQ2 in business administration or equivalent experience in a similar role.
. IT skills and experience of all Microsoft packages
. The ability to maintain confidentiality, understand safeguarding responsibilities and act with discretion.
. A professional yet personable approach to give the best first impression of our services.
. Good organisation skills.
. Excellent communication skills at all levels by phone, email and face-to-face.
