Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: 3 hours per week
Salary: £19,871.20 per annum (pro rata)
What is this role about?
Airplay provides high quality youth work provision to young people aged 5 to 18 in and around the RAF community. As an Airplay Sessional Youth Worker, you'll support the development and implementation of a range of innovative, high quality personally challenging activities that meet the needs of young people from the RAF community and you will encourage and enable their participation. The activities include general arts and crafts, sports and themed activities, plus trips to local attractions such as cinemas and bowling alleys.

- By promoting good practice in a professional and inclusive manner.
- By following safeguarding guidelines and reporting any concerns using the correct procedures.
What will you need?
- Experience of working with children and young people, preferably delivering activities to this age range
- The ability to relate to and inspire children and young people aged 5-18
- A firm commitment to the development and safeguarding of children and young people
- An understanding of the values and principles underpinning youth work and understanding of child's and young person's development
- NVQ Level 2 in Youth Work would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided
