Assistant Residential Worker
Location: Ayr and / or Cumnock
Hours: Casual contract - 6 positions.
Salary: £9.54 per hour
How we work
Our client does what's right, does what's needed and does what works for children across the UK. Every year, our team changes the lives of 370,000 children, young people and their families - but for every child who needs help to get help, there's plenty more to do. That's where you come in. We are looking for Assistant Residential Workers (Casual) with the option to work between 2 of our services (ISSC and Lisalanna) or be based in one of them.
ISSC - Intensive Supervised Structured Care work with vulnerable and high risk young people aged 11 to 19 with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs. Our aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which enables our young people to understand their behaviour, make positive choices and thrive. We support them to develop confidence, self-esteem and life skills, engage in education/training/employment and to feel included in the wider community; we want our young people to feel loved and cared for.
East Ayrshire Lisalanna Project provides a short break respite service throughout the year to upwards of 25 families and our residential service currently provides long term support for 2 young people. The young people who attend our project have a variety of disabilities and some require help with intimate personal care whilst others can display challenging behaviour at times. Both services are collocated with the Lisalanna Family support service in Cumnock, East Ayrshire.
