This is an entry level internship which will give you a broad range of invaluable skills and experiences and the opportunity to make a difference to the millions of people who rely on our products and the performance of our business. You will provide support within the Country President's office and through your hands-on work and administrative support you will gain knowledge and invaluable experience to develop your core skills and gain an excellent insight into the operations of a pharmaceutical company

Job Purpose

  • Support organisation initiatives by providing project management and logistical supporttoagreedtimelines, scope and objectives for projects and processes in support of the Chief of Staff and Country President's office. As examples this could include:
    • Organising initiatives which drive cultural change, and foster wellness, diversity and inclusion
    • Executing day-to-day responsibilities for projects and tasks on behalf of the leadership team or PMO (Project Management Office)
    • Supporting preparation for the Strategic and Operational Planning Cycle / Business Reviews (arranging meetings. coordinating and preparing data and reports)
    • Coordinating arrangements for events (logistics, itineraries, agenda etc.)
    • Identifying opportunities and taking action to streamline processes

  • Budget Management:
    • Vendor management
    • Raising purchase orders, goods receipting
    • Financial reconciliations and tracking spend​

  • Provide team administrative support, for example:
    • Co-ordination of team meetings, logistics and records
    • Maintaining compliant processes at all times
    • Being a champion for internal communications (Must be able to deal with sensitive issues appropriately)
    • Any other support activity as required to deliver the daily needs of the business

We are looking for an individual who can meet the following criteria:

  • Recent bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related study field
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • Clear motivation and ambition to gain experience in a commercial environment
  • You will be able to evidence skills transferrable to the business environment (e.g., good time management, teamwork) experience of successfully working with teams through work, academic and/or extracurricular activities
  • You will be able to demonstrate
  • Proactivity - ability to work independently and proactively under own initiative, taking responsibility and driving projects and activities to a successful conclusion. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Analytical thinking - but also able to act quickly and decisively as needed

  • Fluency in English - verbal and written - is required and any other European language would be an asset
  • You will be IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft office Outlook, Excel, PPT skills and Word at Advanced Level)
  • You will have the confidence to work with senior leaders and must demonstrate good judgement and discretion and be able to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documentation appropriately.

Additional Information

Please ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the company site before applying. This placement is based in White City in London and whilst we support hybrid working, we would expect the intern to be in the office at least 3 days per week/12 days per month , to aid your development in working with and learning from your team. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.
