The role

Tudor Way Family Hub plays an essential role in giving children and families the early support they need. Open to the local community the Family Hub supports children between 0 -19 and their families, providing a variety of services including; child and family health services, parenting groups and antenatal support; early year's education services, such as 'stay and play' sessions; speech and language support.

As a Business Support Officer you will be a key member of the service and will play a vital role in providing high level support to the team.



You will make a difference by:

- Being first point of contact for families using our services including but not limited to; reception duties, meet and greet, answering phones, data input, daily health and safety checks, wellbeing follow up calls and safeguarding.

- Having an excellent knowledge of IT programmes and being able to follow and set up systems.

- Recording accurate information and retrieving data using our database.

- Working as part of a team yet having the ability to work on your own initiative as required.

- Being effective, intuitive, flexible, a problem solver and able to work to deadlines.


You will need:

- Previous experience in an Admin / Reception role (min 1 year) OR NVQ 2 in Business administration or equivalent.

- You will be an experienced proactive receptionist with a can-do attitude and a willingness to help.

- You will have a professional yet personable approach to give the best first impression of our Family Hub Services.

- You will have a flexible approach, the ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to manage changing priorities at short notice.

- You should be organised.

- You will have a good working knowledge of and experience of working with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher.

- Database experience would be an advantage, but training will be given.

- Finance experience would be an advantage, but training will be given.

- Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly at all levels by phone, email and correspondence.
