How do we work?

We do what's right, does what's needed and does what works for children in the UK. Every year, our team changes the lives of 300,000 children, young people and families.

Our Cornwall S.P.A.C.E. service provides support to children and young people aged 5 to 18 years with learning difficulties. As a Young Person's Worker you'll be working to support disabled children and young people to take part in fun and engaging short break activities in the school holidays in Cornwall. You'll also help support youth groups for disabled young people across Cornwall which cover the ages of 13-25.

How will you make a difference for us?

  • By safely supporting children and young people to take part in activities, including some personal care
  • By enabling disabled children and young people experience fun activities
  • By working as a team
  • By supporting parents/carers to have a short break from their caring responsibilities

What will you need?

  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children and young people
  • Experience of supporting disabled children and young people
  • A desire to support children and young people to enjoy a range of activities in the community
  • Ability to work during the school holidays
  • Ability to drive and access to a car with business insurance as the role covers Cornwall (This job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the service)
