Change Coordinator

About You

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained in an aerospace / electromechanical engineering environment with an organisation that designs and manufactures technical products. You will ideally be from a technical background with a minimum of an HND in a technical/engineering discipline.

The position requires strong organizational skills, process improvement skills, balance multiple projects, technical accuracy, and the ability to compile and distribute product change information.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable to the Product Configuration Manager for the provision of engineering support in delivering a safe and efficient change process within the Configuration Management service.
  • Manage and lead the Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Monitor the progress of changes, ensuring compliance with Configuration Management procedures and that those changes are accurately recorded and documented upon implementation.
  • Regularly reporting change status of the projects / programme.
  • Working with the relevant stakeholders to fully understand all live changes, their impact on each other and highlight potential operational risks relating to the programme.
  • Assess, understand, and communicate the potential impact of change accumulation.
  • Provide, as appropriate, advice and guidance on Change Management
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in Aalto and Configuration team, Quality and be an effective team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and actively participate in/lead the change control boards (CCB).
  • Track and ensure correct routings of Change workflow.
  • Evaluate Change submissions for accuracy and ensure required content is logical and legible in accordance with the change and configuration process.
  • Undertake an assessment of change requests, providing support where appropriate, and provide feedback on the impact of the change to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Change Control System, ensuring that Change submissions have appropriate part number, BoM and routing information.
  • Interface with necessary stakeholders, i.e. engineers, originators, authorisers to resolve outstanding issues and monitor timely review, signature approval and release of documentation.
  • Direct appropriate change review meetings to facilitate change completion and closure.
  • Coordinate implementation and Change support activities with other CM staff and Quality.
  • Stakeholder Management - build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Provide Change process training and configuration management awareness sessions to all parties.
  • Act as Change and Configuration Champion.
  • Maintain and proactively improve the best practices of the team, to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Participate, as required, in CM department audits, to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System requirements and applicable policies.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience of Change and Configuration management, within an engineering domain.
  • Experience of a regulated environment.
  • Problem solving and organization skills including minute taking.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Effective communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and quick learner.
  • PC literate with experience of PLM systems (3DX Enovia), and MS Office including Excel macros and pivot tables.
  • ISO9001 experience and understanding.
  • R&D to Production experience is desirable.
