Datalink Embedded Software Engineer

MBDA are currently seeking an experienced Datalink Embedded Software Engineer to develop embedded software for various MBDA products and projects. The Datalink Software Team, operating within the department, is devoted to providing Datalink software for missiles and platforms used in air communication.
As part of your responsibilities, you will be involved in shaping Datalink's functionality, protocols, and technical design. You will also work closely with Firmware, Systems, Hardware, and Test Engineers, as well as their team leaders.
What we're looking for:
- Hard Real-Time embedded software development
- 'C' Programming Language/ADA Programming Language
- LDRA: Static Analysis using tools such as LDRA
- Communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCI-Express)
- Software Design methodologies (e.g., UML)
- Problem-solving at the system and software component level
- System integration and performance analysis
- Lab environment experience with Missile components and Test Equipment
- Full life cycle development in Agile/SCRUM working environment
- IBM DOORS Tool
- Experience programming Microcontrollers or microprocessors (e.g., ARM, PowerPC)
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with mobile/satellite communications and associated protocols
- Modulation techniques
- Network architectures
What you'll get to do as a Datalink Embedded Software Engineer:
- Designing and documenting MBDA Datalink Products
- Developing Embedded Software in C for MBDA Data link Products
- Testing Datalink products using a range of test equipment
- Collaborating with Software, Systems, Firmware, and Test teams to provide support and work together effectively.
