At Guidant Global, we're proud to partner with Airbus to support the Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) in Broughton. We're looking for an experienced Design Approver to play a key role in delivering high‑quality, safe, and compliant structural and systems design solutions for aircraft wing components.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your technical leadership, design approval expertise, and problem‑solving skills to a high‑performing team that supports production excellence across the Airbus Wing Plant.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll act as a technical authority and design signatory, ensuring that engineering solutions meet the highest standards of airworthiness, safety, and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and approve design investigations, including major and minor design modifications, Type Design updates and Design Query Notes (WQNs).
- Provide expert guidance on complex technical issues, ensuring fully integrated and compliant design solutions.
- Operate as an industry‑recognised design approval signatory, bringing strong governance to the design process.
- Mentor and support engineers, helping identify and close skill gaps while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive efficiency improvements through better methods, processes, and capability enhancements across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including CVE, Chief Engineers, Configuration Management and Programme Teams to ensure seamless implementation of design changes.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Industry‑recognised Design Approval/Signatory delegation (DA/DAuth).
- Strong structural design background with the ability to lead complex investigations.
- Previous experience working within Airbus or another major aerospace organisation.
- Ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.
- Confident communicator, able to simplify complex technical information for varied audiences.
- A proactive, resilient mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and identify opportunities.

Pay & Benefits
- £44-£50 per hour (Umbrella or PAYE equivalent).
- Long‑term contract through to December 2026.
