Guidant Global is working with the UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Operator to carry out fault diagnosis and repair bespoke cabling to drawing specifications as a valued member of the Manufacturing Team.

What we're looking for:

  • To be considered, it is required that you have finished a technical engineering or craft apprenticeship up to NVQ Level 3. As evidence of completion, you must provide a copy of your certificate. Please take note that the apprenticeship must be in either TR23 or TR21. Please meet this requirement to avoid disqualification.
  • Formal further education certificate to ONC or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds in Electrical Studies Parts 2 & 3 desirable and manual handling training
  • IPC 620 & Dynamic Cabling certified (Required)/ trained preferred.
  • Prior experience in electrical wiring and assembly, as well as in the aerospace or defence industry, would be advantageous.
  • SAP experience and familiarity with Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) must be present.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

  • Fault-finding and subsequent repair of cable assemblies.
  • Carry out surface mount repair on CCAs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair test/measurement equipment down to the component level. Additionally, assist with the maintenance of manufacturing aids whenever necessary.
  • PAT testing across the manufacturing site.
  • Examine drawings during fault-finding activities.
  • Safety systems testing of Test & Measuring equipment in line with documented procedures.
  • Provide technical support to help with the smooth servicing of STTE, which includes production testing of hardware and repairing during the contract.
  • Possess excellent workspace husbandry disciplines and maintain a high degree of tool control and FOD practices.
