Purpose of the job:
The night worker will deliver a high-quality service to Nacro Housing residents and will be responsible for managing the safety and security of the building. This will be delivered through the provision of a waking nights service.
You will help change the lives of young people by:
- Acting as an initial point of reference for Nacro service users and external agencies while on duty
- Implementing night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security of the housing service and respond to faults as discovered
- Monitoring access to the services and visitors.
- Meeting the requirements of health and safety policies and practices.
- Logging and reporting incidents and anti-social behaviour.
- Carrying out domestic tasks (cleaning communal areas) to a high standard, ensuring that the immediate environment of the service user in relation to service provision is well maintained, clean, and tidy and assessed for any fire and health and safety risks.
- Effectively recording information. Maintaining up to date records and producing relevant reports as required. Ensuring handovers at the start and end of shift with operational staff.
- Advising management promptly of any signs of problems or concerns about service users.
In addition, the ideal candidate will engage fully in regular supervision with their line manager and adhere to Nacro's Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols.
