OG requires an IT Client Engineer to provide support to over 18,000 customers, delivering a professional IT Service to members across several TOG Workspaces.
The IT Client Engineer team provides two main services; included support for all issues related to TOG infrastructure and charged support and services at customers' request.
Professional service-led support lies at the heart of this team.
What you can expect as our IT Client Engineer
Being part of a team to provide 24/7 support to over 18,000 customers with in-hours support at TOG Workspaces, planned out-of-hours works, and out-of-hours support on an on-call basis.
Included Support
- Wi-Fi, telephony (Avaya, RingCentral), networking, internet
- Client move-ins and move-outs
- Staff on-site support
Charged Services
- Client requested works (in office and comms rooms)
- Installation of client servers and core equipment
- Custom configurations of networks and patching
- Aiding the IT Sales team in the Sales Process
- Bespoke IT and AV setups
Delivery of Tech to Customer Spaces and Meeting Rooms
- Service delivery of Purchased Items
- Telephones, Zoom Rooms and more
Administration of Services
- Ensure that Moves, Changes, Adds and Cancellations are recorded, and client billing is kept up to date
- Management of engineer time and changeable hours
We'd love to hear from you if you've got
- Proven experience as an IT engineer in a customer facing role - Experience in a service-oriented organisation -
- Experience working with networking fundamentals - VLANs, NAT, OSPF. L2 switching technologies (STP, RSTP, VTP, Ether channels), VLANs, trunking) and L3 switching (SVIs, inter-VLAN routing) -
- Experience of Virtual Private Networking including IP Security Installation and configuration of Layer 2 switched networks and Layer 3 routed networks -
- Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards
- Applies specialist knowledge and experience to trouble shooting and problem solving - Scheduling and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise
- Strong and inclusive communicator - Collaborate across different departments effectively - Proactive and resilient - Self-motivated and team player
