Role: Lead Practitioner
Location: North Devon
Hours: Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week
Salary: DOE £30,200 - £34,900 pro rata

Northern Devon Children's centre provides Targeted Early Help, to the whole family from pregnancy through to aged 8, when families most need support using the "team around the family" approach.
Early Help means taking action to support a child, young person or their family early in the life of a problem, as soon as it emerges. This can be provided in the most complex of circumstances as well as the simplest.
As a Lead Practitioner, it will be your primary focus to create and develop safeguarding practice across our services. You will be required to work a Friday and the remaining hours to be worked flexibly over the week.
How will you make a difference?
- Encourage, coach and support our team to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
- Support and work with Managers to provide clear and responsive practical leadership, supervision, and promote the highest professional standards in Social Care.
- Identify and evaluate national trends to develop and deliver professional development opportunities to staff teams.
- Organise and implement audit plans.
- Ensure that the responsibility of safeguarding is a fundamental element throughout all the services and that safeguarding principals are embedded in all procedures, practices, professional advice, decisions and support.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other professionals.
- Act as a peripatetic manager to suit the needs of the service.

What will you need?
- A degree qualification in relevant field or 2 years previous experience in similar post.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Strong Multi Agency experience
- A Positive and a Can-do attitude is a MUST.
- A driver's licence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Be able to work well alone as well as in a team.
- Be adaptive to change.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast - paced and challenging environment.
- Strong experience of delivering training.
