Key Responsibilities:

· Directly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required.

· Conducting initial and regular assessments of the potential or actual service user including any risks, their needs and requirements in respect of the service, to determine eligibility for the service taking necessary action where required are delivered.

· Working with the Nacro Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations.

· Be involved in ordering furniture and goods for the property

· Work closely with the Asset Management team on ensuring property standards are maintained, repairs are reported in a timely way and ensuring the properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation.

· Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure.

Professional and Technical Expertise:

· Maintain the highest professional standards and service levels to our service users treating everyone with dignity and respect.

· Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to ensure we are working within our voids and arrears targets, complying with Tenure Law and abiding by our Housing policies and procedures.

· Foster positive relationships with the local community, neighbours and landlords.

· Work collaboratively with key internal partners in Quality, Policy, HR, Finance and IT to deliver the best possible service to our users.

· May deputise for the Area Manager as required and lead on specific portfolio responsibilities as identified.

· Be prepared to work flexibly across more than one area if required.

Organisational Performance and Compliance:

· Ensure that all the required health & safety checks are undertaken in person or by direct reports, taking any necessary remedial action.

· Set Individual and team performance targets as agreed with your manager and ensure that they are delivered including working within income and budget targets.

· Ensure that you and your team maintain up to date records via relevant and appropriate systems within specified timeframes and produce reports as required.

· Positively promote and represent Nacro at all times, building strong relationships with colleagues to work as part of an integrated team focused on meeting the needs of services users/learners.

· Adhere to Nacro's Safeguarding and data policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols and ensure that your team understand and deliver their responsibilities

· Promote and carry out all responsibilities with full regard to Nacro's Equality and Diversity Policy and ensure that your team do the same.

· Keep up to date with relevant regulatory requirements of the sector and ensure that service delivery meets these requirements, including engaging in audits and inspections as required.

Business insurance and use of own vehicle is an essential requirement.
