We currently have an opportunity for a Leasehold Recovery Officer (Account Officer) to sit within our team at Hyde working on behalf of Partners for Improvement, Islington.

This role would be responsible for managing the prevention and recovery of Leasehold Debt, that being Service Charges and Major Works arrears.

You will work alongside the Account Advisors in an efficient manner in accordance with Policy and Procedure providing a professional and proficient customer-focused service to the PFI residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the prevention and recovery of Leasehold Debt, including service charge and major works arrears.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to help residents meet their lease tenancy obligations.

  • Progression of legal case actions (MCOL) and will be pivotal in managing legal actions on all cases.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with previous experience of working in arrears collection service charges & major works in addition to:

* Understanding of social housing and Leaseholders

* Customer focused and able to handle challenging conversations

* Highly organised and ability plan own work loads

* Ability to tailor communication to meet target audience

* Strong negotiating skills

* Robust enough to escalate any problems
