Multi-skilled Technician E&I
You will be required to work a 12-hour day & night shift pattern which includes weekends on a rotation of 3/2 days/nights on followed by 4 days off in rotation

Salary: £36-38k with a premium of approx £14k and a meal allowance of approx £800
The successful candidate will join an established E&I Team within our top tier COMAH site, this role requires an experienced Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation technician who is able to demonstrate excellent practical electrical skills and is able to analyse faulty control and instrumentation systems, in a logical manner such that faults can be identified and repaired safely.
You will report directly to the maintenance Lead, this is a wide-ranging role which experience in Chemicals or large manufacturing would be advantageous, alongside a willingness to question and learn will be essential. This will involve good communication, often across multiple disciplines to deliver customer requirements efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and take a positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach to delivering to tight deadlines.

As an experienced Multi-Skilled E&I Technician, you'll be responsible for the delivery of preventative/proactive maintenance of electrical systems and its instrumentation, attending to any reactive/corrective maintenance that arises, fault finding, completing any repairs/replacements/calibration to instruments, installation of new systems/equipment, commissioning, all in accordance with BS767 18th Edition
In addition, you will be expected to have knowledge, experience and compliance in following areas.
- Safety should always be the highest priority for any tasks undertaken, in conjunction with our life saving policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and use of technical drawings & operator manuals alongside electrical schematic drawings & P&ID's to aid fault diagnosis process.
- Reduce Plant downtime by proposing/implementing improvements in both the Electrical and Instrumentation facets of the role.
- Contribute to improving the site performance in all aspects of safe operation, regulatory compliance, productive output and cost efficiency by improving the engineering reliability of site equipment and ensuring appropriate maintenance frequency of assets is complied with.
- Keep accurate written records of work carried out using SAP CMMS system
- Work alongside compliance & technical author to support the technical review of written maintenance documents and operational procedures.
- Conducting Inspections, testing, calibration, adjustments and monitoring tasks as required to maintain efficient plant and build-in equipment reliability.
Skills and knowledge required -
An industrial Electrical and Instrumentation -based qualification to HNC/ONC level or equivalent
Previous Manufacturing/Chemical industry experience
Time served Apprenticeship with a further 5 years' experience
Experience of structured problem-solving techniques, fault diagnosis
Ability to read and comprehend electrical Schematics & OEM Manuals, P&ID's
Experience in LV Networks
