The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for an experienced Network (Cloud and Security) Architect to be part of the Network design and solutions team within the UK IT department of a large multi-national complex weapons engineering company. The position will be based at the Bolton site.

What you'll get to do as a Network (Cloud and Security) Architect:

  • Network solution and design for tier 1 and 2 networks to work on transformative programmes, including migrating some activities to public or private cloud platforms and associated connectivity.
  • Working with architects and colleagues in other teams to create an overall technical view of intermediate states during migration.
  • Support for accreditation and security design approval processes.
  • Performing with outsourced suppliers to implement solutions.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in cross-domain authentication
  • zero trust architecture (ZTA, theory and, if possible, application)
  • digital rights management and data loss prevention software (DRM/DLP)
  • private cloud (especially Azure) is useful.
  • Experience of working on classified networks up to UK SECRET is beneficial.
  • You must be a UK national or citizen to be eligible for the role.
