The role

We are looking for a New Business Manager to build relationships with organisations that will result in long-term, high-value partnerships that raise both significant income and brand visibility for Action for Children.


You will make a difference by:

-Developing excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to drive positive outcomes for the Partnership Development team

-Identifying potential partnerships across all industries, undertaking the research and qualification of strategic opportunities

-Creating top-quality proposals and pitches tailored to the opportunity

-Leading on the full sales cycle concerning prospect approaches, from identification and initial approach to ask and close

-Supporting more junior members of the team

You will need:

- Experience of building excellent relationships with high-level stakeholders, internally and externally

-To be tenacious, self-motivated and high achieving with a passion for new business

-The ability to think creatively and strategically when prospecting, using a solutions-focussed approach

-Two years' worth of experience in securing partnerships involving a range of activity, including sales promotions and employee fundraising

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including inter-personal and presentation skills) to communicate propositions in a compelling and engaging way

-The willingness to work flexibly and travel the UK when necessary

-To be computer literate, including knowledge of MS Office packages and CRM databases
