Guidant Global is currently recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Children's Services Child Protection Team in Hull.
Role overview:
The successful candidate will be part of a busy Locality Children's Team covering a full range of statutory responsibilities, including:
Child in Need (CIN)
Child Protection (CP)
Children Looked After (CLA)
Pre-proceedings and Public Law Outline (PLO)
Court work and preparation of high-quality statements and care plans
You will be responsible for undertaking assessments, managing a varied caseload, completing statutory visits within timescales, attending core groups and conferences, and working in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adolescents. The role requires confident risk assessment, clear analytical recording, and strong court skills.
Candidate requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience within a Children's Safeguarding/Child Protection team
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004
Experience of court work and care proceedings
Ability to manage a complex and demanding caseload
