Operations Support Team Member
Location: Broughton (onsite)
Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: £21.00/hr PAYE or £28.09/hr Umbrella
IR35: Inside
Security: BPSS+ Clearance required (arranged by Airbus Security)
About the Role

What You'll Do
- Manage and control cutting tool stock levels, regrind processes, consumables, chemicals, and calibrated tooling to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
- Act as the key link between calibration and operations, supporting production by removing blockers and providing lineside assistance.
- Raise purchase orders for tooling and maintenance, and liaise with facilities and maintenance teams to meet service level agreements and delivery targets.
- Support capital expenditure (CAPEX), rate ramp-up, and facility improvement projects.
- Lead and participate in improvement initiatives and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) topics.
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring excellent service and communication at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment is highly desirable.
- A background in stores, tooling, or as an ex-fitter would be a great fit.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Motivated, proactive, and able to hit the ground running.
- Flexible on industry background-transferable skills are valued.
- Experience is more important than formal qualifications for this role.
