We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to be based from home with travel to client sites on an initial 6 month contract basis.
This specialist project role will include:
Driving the one of our major client Supplier Quality Improvement Initiatives across functional work streams, including statement of work within engineering, contingent labour and critical emerging work streams as required.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will be to:
Deliver functional structural changes to existing processes within the highly established Managed Service Programme (MSP).
Work with SMEs to understand existing processes within the MSP and agree practical changes as required during the SQIP process.
Design, create and deliver engineering processes and improvements covering areas such as, but not limited to, Risk Management, Acceptance Criteria Processes and None Conformance Management.
Establish a steering group
Analyse the 'As Is' processes as they apply to the MSP and emerging engineering work streams.
Create an 'ideas of improvement' axis which will feedback into the 'To Be' process.
Create, develop and implement the 'To Be' solutions and define an accompanying action plan. Ensure all SMEs have signed off on all changes and that any associated risks are shared.
Within the 'To Be' process for the engineering processes, define the Organisational Breakdown Structure' (OBS) and make recommendations.
Attend SQIP progress review meetings which may be held at UK or European location.
What we're looking for:
An experienced Project Manager with knowledge and experience gained within a large engineering environment; ideally with defence, aerospace or similar as well as experience developing engineering processes from scratch; including writing procedures and quality management systems/standards. You will possess developed communication, influencing and relationship management skills as well as being able to plan, lead and implement projects.
