Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is looking for an experienced Project Officer to join their manufacturing project teams. In this role, the Project Officer will be responsible for delivering missiles and test equipment throughout their product life cycles, ensuring adherence to establish the project control methodologies. This position involves supporting a variety of deliverables across multiple manufacturing task areas, offering a valuable opportunity for career advancement within the project management field.
As a Project Officer, you will be expected to support various projects and sites as needed. You will assist the Heads of Manufacturing and Production Project Managers in delivering tasks, including:
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of how manufacturing data underpins cost, schedule, quality, and on‑time delivery in a project environment.
- Experienced in extracting, cleansing, and analysing data from project/manufacturing systems (e.g., Primavera/MS Project, ARM, JIRA, SAP).
- Able to convert complex manufacturing/materials data into clear insights, structured reports, and management‑ready dashboards.
- Advanced Excel capability for building, maintaining, and analysing reports using formulas, tables, and core data techniques.
- Confident producing professional PowerPoint briefings for project reviews, governance, and leadership updates.
- Awareness‑level Power BI knowledge, with the ability to interpret and utilise existing dashboards for performance monitoring.
- Highly detail‑focused with a disciplined approach to data integrity, validation, and reporting accuracy.
- Strong communicator, able to present data‑driven findings clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Proactive and well‑organised, able to manage multiple reporting streams and deliver to deadlines.
What do you need?:
- Analyse and report manufacturing and materials data using SAP
- Create and maintain Excel-based manufacturing performance reports
- Produce clear PowerPoint briefing materials for project and management reviews
- Support project teams with data analysis, reporting, and decision-making
- Interpret and utilise Power BI dashboards at an awareness level
