RF Electronics Design Engineer
Do you have PCB design experience, and are you seeking a new job in Farnborough? Our aerospace client is looking for an RF Electronics Design Engineer, and the role comes with an hourly rate of £29.91 PAYE or £40.00 Umbrella.
This position is focused on the design, development and test of PCBs for UHF, S-Band and Satcom datalinks in Zephyr Avionics subsystems, to maximise the potential of persistent flight operations in the stratosphere.
Working with the Lead Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Requirements specifications for air-to-ground RF datalinks and antennas including power, performance and reliability
· Full-lifecycle development of new and existing RF datalinks subsystems (antennas and PCBs)
· Definition of procedures for integration, test, and manufacture
· Electronic component selection in accordance with requirements and investigation and test of avionics subsystems
To apply for this avionics engineer role, you will need experience working in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, medical devices, rail transport, or oil & gas. You will also require the following:
· A proven track record of design, development and delivery of RF datalinks (preferably UHF, S-Band and Satcoms), and implementation at PCB level
· Experience using RF design and simulation tools
· Expertise using Altium or ORCAD for schematic capture, and preferably for PCB layout
· Knowledge of communication theory and methods
