Outline

A Senior Business Analyst is required to work directly with the business areas HR, Industrial Security, Facility Management and Corporate Secretary and Strategy. As a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible of finding solutions for complex business problems, discovering business needs and identifying opportunities. In addition to analytic skills the post holder will also be proficient at integrating and preparing application landscapes.

You will work closely with the different business areas, BRM, project managers, and other international IT teams to turn IT specifications based on the business requirements into IT solutions. This solutions are the basement for reliably and trustworthy services.

Business focus, strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as programming and database knowledge are necessary to be able to quickly bring business needs through the discovery phase. Excellent written and communications skills to report back the findings in a clear and structured manner are required to present these in a way that can be easily understood by the business stakeholders.

You will also be involved in the harmonisation of the application landscapes for Client's divisional boundaries.

Key Tasks

* Completion of the project office documentation required to ensure a successful project delivery

* Analyse business needs and translate them, with process know-how and the required IM background, into adequate IM solutions. Manage and implement updates to existing applications and maintenance activities guided by the needs, costs and plans agreed with business key contacts - always having the Clients harmonisation approach in mind.

* Work with business analysts and IT teams to identify what data are available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, to support application integration based on the requirements collected with the business.

* Build requirements, specifications, business processes and the business case related to the proposed solutions.

* Collaborate with Business subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information to ensure the implementation of enhancements/changes and projects as needed.

* Ensure quality of service delivery and business-user satisfaction.

* Anticipate changes to the Information System and the business impact and vice versa.

* Identify areas of improvement in business processes providing possible IM solutions compliant with the IM strategy.

* Evaluate the relevance of the Information systems to the business domain.

* Formalise, consolidate and drive the development of the information systems.

* Coordinate maintenance, back office, architecture, communications and incident management and troubleshoot the IT issues business users are facing.

* Be responsible for managing the information technology development within the business domain.

* Work with the Data Protection, IM Security Officer, System Architect and Worker's Council to ensure that the solution proposed/used is in compliance with the regulatory and security policies in place.

* Responsible for the delivery and/or validation of detailed technical design documents

Skills/Experience

* Preferably a Bachelors degree in computer science or related field; Master degree or equivalent experience within a similar field

* 5-10 year's experience

* Solid knowledge and good experience (of approximately 5 years) of software design and application development techniques.

* Project Management experience, Proven in delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality.

* Solid understanding of the project office documentation templates and the processes for determining when and how they are require.

* Knowledge of Client's methodologies (ADIM, GPP, IM +), Lean / agile will be beneficial

* Provide specific technological recommendations to ensure the proper development of projects.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Knowledge of the business areas HR, Security and Facility Management including the processes.

* Flexible, team worker and open minded to change

* Ability to work in stressful situations

* English at negotiation level

Other

* Travel to other UK sites will be a feature of the role

The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a DBS certificate prior to commencement of the contract.
