The successful candidate will join a small team of professionals working on complex technical projects. As a software engineer, you will work as part of the international HWIL team in France and Italy and share knowledge and tools with the UK HWIL team.

What we're looking for:

  • Possess a significant skill set and experience in software development, with a particular emphasis on using programming languages such as C and C++.
  • Experience developing within the Linux environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

The candidate should have experience integrating hardware and software components, hands-on expertise in multi-threaded software products, driver-level software development, and knowledge of using MATLAB/Simulink. They should also understand real-time computing systems, mathematical modelling concepts, and the ability to visualise and analyse complex systems.

What you'll get to do as a Software Engineer C/C++/Linux/Real Time:

Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) involves working with real missile equipment and advanced test facilities. The team uses closed-loop simulations to investigate and validate clients' products. This ensures high confidence in product performance. HWIL testing is crucial to missile design and development, focusing on understanding product behaviour. Prototype equipment and cutting-edge technologies are used for testing.

  • This role is centred on the development, execution and maintenance of software components used in the HWIL facility. These software components range from those designed to manage mathematical models and real-time input/output interfaces to those used for data analysis and visualisation.
  • Work with advanced test equipment and missile hardware, using our client's custom Linux PC-based toolsets, surpassing current COTS products.
