Every year, Action for Children impacts on the lives of 310,000 children, young people and their families across the UK, through our professional and committed workforce of c.4300.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active and confident individual to provide exceptional customer experience to all internal and external stakeholders and promote this approach throughout the charity. You will ensure supporter queries are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner and support fundraising activity across the charity. This will be through pro-active and effective supporter stewardship.

The role will see you?

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience to create engaged supporters and facilitate growth
  • Provide a professional service to supporter queries received via phone, email, post or social media, ensuring that service standards and timelines are adhered to
  • Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Deliver outbound calling, email and postal campaigns to agreed fundraising targets and KPIs
  • Create and identify positive relationships with supporters through effective stewardship to maximise current and potential contribution to Action for Children
  • Ensure supporters are thanked and appreciated appropriately and their contributions to our mission understood
  • Fulfil fundraising material requests in accordance with guidelines and procedures

The person?

  • Degree educated, equivalent or willingness to work towards necessary qualifications
  • Proven customer relationship experience, ideally gained within a consumer facing organization.
  • Proven experience of successfully delivering against targets
  • Commercially minded with experience of driving customer value
  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging and accessible way
  • An ability to adapt to changing circumstances quickly and effectively
  • Team player
